LEUZE FIBER OPTIC SENSORS:

Leuze fiber optic Sensors are ideal for universal applications requiring little room for object detection. Glass fiber optics are employed in harsh environments with high temperatures and chemical resistance. They provide further benefits for radiation via foils or applications with high light power due to their exceptionally low damping. Flexible fiber optics with different head shapes can be fitted into almost any system design. The detection range is determined by the fiber optics and amplifiers that are employed. Fiber optics can be employed in either a throughbeam or a scanning mode. They can be used to identify small objects since they are a fiber array with many light beams.

Fiber Optics:

Plastic fiber optic cables are offered in both reflecting and throughbeam configurations. The choice is determined based on the design of the fiber head and the functional properties of the fibers. There is a large variety of fiber optics available, including those with bend protection.

  • Models for higher temperatures, use in contact with chemicals, in food-related areas
  • Fibers with an extremely fine fiber head for the detection of the smallest parts, fiber arrays

Amplifiers for Fiber Optics:

The amplifier is connected to the optical fibers. The fiber ranges and offered capabilities vary depending on the model. Aside from the basic requirements, which include a 20-turn potentiometer for sensitivity adjustment with high resolution, there are also two switches for light/dark switching and versions with convenient, high-performance amplifiers with extensive adjustment options for operating ranges, sensitivities, and time functions. Two easy-to-read displays show the signal value as well as the switching threshold. Three distinct teach modes make configuration easier. There is also an IO-Link model available.
