SICK Retro-Reflective Sensor

Photoelectric retro-reflective sensors
Photoelectric retro-reflective sensors consist of a transmitter and receiver in one housing and a separate reflector. The transmitter emits light, which is reflected back by the reflector and detected by the receiver. If the light beam is interrupted by an object, the photoelectric retro-reflective sensor perceives this as a signal. The advantage is that photoelectric retro-reflective sensors from SICK also reliably detect transparent objects.
