Basic sensors

The IS 100 series is the entry-level series into Leuze’s line of inductive switches. They are the economical solution for standard applications. In addition to the common cubic sensors, an extensive range of cylindrical sensors in short and long design as well as miniature sensors is available.

Standard sensors

The IS D series is the versatile standard for all sectors and industries. These sensors stand out for their extremely high reliability and durability. The portfolio prioritizes the most essential cylindrical designs M8, M12, M18 and M30. The unbeatable price-performance ratio makes IS D the first choice, especially for very large purchasing volumes.

Advanced sensors

Excellent technology and the highest quality standards form the basis of the IS 200 series, making them a reliable sensor in nearly all areas of application. The product range includes all common cubic and cylindrical standard and miniature designs and short and long designs. For designs M12 to M30 and 40×40, sensors are also available with complementary switching outputs (NO+NC) and 3x switching distance.

Special sensors

The IS 200 special sensors are characterized by an extra level of performance.
Extremely robust, all stainless steel sensors: Leuze’s all stainless steel sensors made of up to 1 mm thick V2A/V4A stainless steel are designed for use in environments with the highest requirements on the housing material. IP68/69K, pressure resistance and up to 3x switching distance are just a few of the technical features of this series. Furthermore, variants are available for the food and beverage sector with ECOLAB certification.
2-wire AC/DC sensors with large voltage range: These 2-wire sensors are very versatile thanks to their large voltage range of 10-320 V AC and V DC.

Inductive sensors with long operating range

New inductive sensors for switching distances up to 40 millimeters

Inductive sensors are used in all industries for the contactless detection of metals. The position detection of moving machine components is important for controlling the mechanics. Inductive sensors are the first choice, even if tools, input materials or end products made of steel, aluminum, copper alloys or stainless steel need to be detected.

Inductive sensors, also called proximity sensors, are known for reliably detecting metallic objects over short distances. Models with increased switching distances enable operating ranges up to three times longer than standard inductive sensors. The new sensors are therefore also suitable for applications with small installation spaces and/or large distances or tolerances – for example with inaccurate alignment, mechanical play or vibrations.

The new robust sensors with the designation IS 200MM.2 are made of nickel-plated brass and are available in cylindrical M12, M18 and M30 housings. They can even be used under high mechanical stress and provide highly accurate measurements and repeatability at a good price-performance ratio. The new sensors with switching distances of up to 40 millimeters can be installed quasi-flush or non-flush, depending on the respective application. The new sensors expand the existing inductive product portfolio.
