According to IEC 61496-1/2, IEC 61508-1/2/3, and ISO 13849-1, Type 4 light curtains from the EXTENDED SLIM line are TÜV, CE, and UL certified. With integrated EDM*, restart interlock, and beam coding, protective heights vary from 170 to 1,610 mm. Users can also save money by using EDM instead of wired relays because it has a relay monitoring feature. The connection is made using an integrated 5-pin or 8-pin M12 pigtail, and the compact housing (26 26 mm) permits blind-zone-free placement. A world first, this selection of light curtains can be electronically controlled and monitored using a Bluetooth® signal and a free smartphone app.
