In order to avoid the pricey installation of two or more separate devices, the Rosemount 8800 MultiVariable Vortex Flow Meter integrates temperature and flow sensors into a single, extremely precise instrument. The integrated, detachable temperature sensor, which is isolated from the process and distinct from the Vortex flow sensor, delivers a precise process temperature measurement. It also offers temperature and pressure compensation, providing compensated mass flow and corrected volume in steam and liquid applications when the input comes from an external HART® pressure transmitter.
